The Enticing Broods

It’s not often I get the chance to sit back and ¬†listen to an album from start to finish, but on a recent long-haul flight I plugged in and soon became absorbed in the ethereal sounds of ¬†New Zealand duo Broods.

Stemming from Nelson, New Zealand, siblings Caleb and Georgia Nott are making their mark around the globe with their fresh, intelligent sounds; most recently touring with Sam Smith.

Starting with the delicate track ‘Bridges’ I soon got lost thinking of summer days, wearing floaty dresses and laying in the grass with the sun streaming on my face. Hearing what followed did not disappoint, Mother & Father, Never Gonna Change, was finished beautifully with ‘Four Walls’.

Broods music brings a sense of melancholy – one that reminds you of what it feels like to be young, vulnerable and excited. Their music is enticing and I am loving it!
