Dry and Tea

After a summer of surf and sun my hair was in desperate need of some TLC. I had been thinking for a while that I wanted to change things up a little and had found a cut and colour that I wanted to try.

Finding a hair stylist that just gets what you want as well as ensuring the style is easy to maintain is hard to come by. Thanks to Zoe Marshall posting a pic on Instagram of her new do I knew where I would be booking my next appointment.

Dry and Tea City Works is based in the newly refurbished City Works Depot on Wellesley Street in Auckland. Travelling to Auckland that week I managed to secure an appointment.

When I arrived I was greeted by one of the friendly team and given a complimentary tea while I waited. When introduced to my stylist, the brilliant Kurtis Counsell, it took only a few minutes for him to understand exactly what I wanted to achieve and I was very happy with the end result.

I have deliberately left posting this for a week as I wanted to see how manageable the cut was after a few washes. It has been simple. I love the blunt cut, it is easy to style after a wash or get out of bed and create a few beach waves for a fuss free and stylish look. I am already booked in and looking forward to my next visit!
