I had a lot of fun this morning at Superette in Wellington trying on the new Bassike Low Slung 30 Yr Aged Jean. They are a great pair of jeans that I just had to share. They are not only stylish but comfortable as well. When I tried them on I did not want to take them off.

They would look great with a pair of Converse sneakers or edgy flats, for those of us who are not tall I would recommend pairing them with a heel, worn here with the Nicholas ‘Hari’ heel.
Saturday morning saw me being whisked away over the Rimataka Ranges to Martinborough, wine country of the lower North Island. Only an hour and a half from Wellington, we were soon sitting with vino in hand, bathed in hot sunshine, surrounded by dry paddocks and vineyards.
Simon had booked us the Gatehouse at Margrain Vineyard. It is a gorgeous villa set in the vineyard with a private garden. Wine tasting was complimentary with the booking and so off we went to the first cellar door of the day.
Margrain has a good range of wine varieties on offer and one of the most consistent line ups I have experienced in quality. The stars of the day were the Pinot Rose 2013, Chenin Blanc 2013 and Chardonnay 2011. With delightfully written descriptors of each wine, which the Duty Manager so eloquently described as ‘…a load of bullocks’ this was without a doubt the best stop of the day and an all round great and humorous experience!
The rest of the afternoon was spent cycling from one cellar door to the next. It was such a fun way to get around, although you really do need to concentrate as the day goes on!
Packed with the essentials, Women’s Health Mag, and keeping it simple wearing bassike and Roxy.
The Gatehouse at Magrain Vineyard, the stunning villa where we stayed. I was very pleased to open the door to this.
Margrain cellar door – fantastic and then off we cycled to our next stop.
Enjoying some of our purchases back at the villa
View from the lookout on our way out of town. Martinborough, see you again soon.
There is nothing like a beautifully cut and stylish pair of pants that are comfortable too. I was looking for a pair that would see me through the 9-5 as well as weekend fun, and I found them….
Introducing the Swagger Pant by Moochi.
In a beautiful nude, they look great paired with white, cream and black. I wear them here with a cream camisole from Club Monaco.
The swagger looks great worn slouchy and rolled at the bottom.
Worn here with a leather jacket, the Swagger also looks great with a tailored blazer and your top of choice tucked in at the front.
Although I am still very much enjoying summer, I am a little excited about the Autumn/Winter fashion collections that are starting to be released. A favourite so far is the strong, yet feminine cuts of Bec & Bridge!
Monochrome seems to be featuring along with a favourite of mine, stripes!
Elements skirt by Bec & Bridge, worn here with the Babylon Tank and by Aimee from Song of Style.
